The Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf is excited to announce that the balance of our mortgage has been paid off! The following donors came forward to help pay off the remaining balance: MidwestOne Bank, Jim Jr. and Jennifer Compton, and Dead Broke Saddle Club. Thank you to the hundreds of donors who have donated to our Building Fund through the past five years. We had a goal of paying off the mortgage within 2 years of opening our new building (in May 2015) and exceeded that goal by two months!
With the building paid off, we will continue to focus on providing services to the 120+ families we serve each month in the Hugo and Centerville community. Financial donations to purchase food are always in need. Donations can be made via mail: HGNFS, PO Box 373, Hugo, MN 55038 or online at www.hugofoodshelf.org. Food donations can be made during open hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 4:00pm-7:00pm. The food shelf is located at 15106 Francesca Ave N. in Hugo.
Our annual meeting will be held on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00pm at the Hugo Public Works Building (6900 137th St N, Hugo, MN 55038). The meeting is open to the public.
On behalf of the Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf Board of Directors, thank you to all who continue to support our mission to end hunger in the Hugo and Centerville community!
